Do you know that excess sebum can make skin sensitive?

A lot of people who have both conditions – skin sensitivity and oily skin tend to place more emphasis on choosing products that help with their skin sensitivity.

Why is my face oily? What causes the OIL?

Cause of oily skin: Excess sebum secretion

Diet and changes in hormone levels can lead to excess sebum secretion. Not only does this result in an unwanted oily shine on the face, excess sebum on skin that is not thoroughly removed can be damaging to the skin as well.

And you must be thinking, why is Gerlyn’s face red red? It’s due to sensitivity!

Cause of sensitive skin: Lack of ceramide

Ceramide is the essential ingredient in skin as it replenishes and helps retain moisture, strengthening the skin’s resilience as a natural barrier against external irritants. The lack of ceramide weakens this natural barrier, causing skin to be more susceptible to irritants.

Curél Sebum Care Foam Wash

The Foaming Wash effectively removes excess sebum without irritating the skin as the lathered foam cushions against rubbing and tugging on the skin during cleansing.

Ultra fine foam with sebum solvent to thoroughly cleanse dirt and excess sebum while protecting ceramide.

Usage:

Apply two full pumps directly onto wet skin. (1 pumps is enough for my face)
Do not lather. (No need to rub on hand any further)
Gentle massage and rinse off thoroughly. (It’s very easily to rinse off less than 10secs it can be clearly clean off)

Curél Sebum Care Lotion

After skin wash, it is recommended to actually hydrate your face within 3mins.

Now it’s time to use the Curél Sebum Care Lotion

Non-sticky formula prepares skin for better absorption of moisturiser / essence that is used after the lotion.

Usage:

After cleansing, apply lotion gently over the whole face.
Apply twice daily, in the morning and at night.

Lotion takes slightly more time to absorb. To aid absorption, pat clean hand on face repeatedly.

Additional tips for my Ger’z World readers, it is best to let the Lotion dry first before apply the next moisturiser / serum. The best way to expedite the process is by “fanning” dry to allow faster absorption.

I give Curél Sebum Care Lotion 4 STARS because it took quite long to be absorbed into my skin but still very refreshing!

Curél Sebum Care Moisture Gel

Liquid based gel spreads easily for speedy absorption into deeper layers of skin without leaving skin sticky.

Usage:

Apply three to four pumps gently over the entire face
Apply twice daily, in the morning and at night.
