Dear Readers,

Today I am gonna share with you the newly opened Philatelic Store @ GPO (General Post Office) proudly owned and operated by Singapore Post (SingPost)!!!

It’s Grand Opening is on the 9th November 2017 and I am glad to be invited as Media to write-up for their GPO FESTIVE COLLECTION NEW LAUNCH on the 16th November 2017!

So what is the Philatelic Store @ JPO all about???

It offers a comprehensive range of Singapore & Foreign Stamps, Thematic MyStamp, Souvenirs, and Philatelic Gifts that are available exclusively in-store!

Every item in Philatelic Store marks a special moment in Singapore’s history. The commemorative value and exquisite designs of the collections make them perfect for all occasions – as business gifts, or as cherished inclusions in every philatelist’s personal collection.

At the Philatelic Store, a colonial-era red pillar posting box has been restored and mail dropped into this posting box will be postmarked with a special date stamp in red ink.

Festive Gift Ideas on items with philately designs in a range of $5 – $10

How can we forget about food??? The food at the event is by Brunches Cafe! They are like the coolest cafe ever!!

I particularly love the Raisin Biryani and also the Caesar Salad!!!

You can check out The latest Chic Vintage Themed Bakery/Café along Rangoon Road (in the Neighbourhood of Farrer Park MRT). Brunches Café serves All-day Breakfast Menu, Gourmet Sandwiches, Waffles, Coffee, Tea and other Beverages to the funky café-goers!
Read more here.

After the yummy food by Brunches Cafe, we were given a talk by the person-in-charge to know more about their collections and the concept of the store itself.

It’s a very insightful talk to understand more about the purpose of the store. She also shares about all the Stories behind these stamps like not only Singapore History Stamp we can find, there is Hong Kong and Macau Stamps here too!!!  I am truly impressed that a small store like this have so much memories installed and so much collectibles. I am glad I am not a “Stamp Collector” otherwise I guess I will burn a hole in my pocket! But the Sanrio ones are truly tempting… Hehehe!

But sorry, for DISPLAY ONLY, not for sale!!!! WHYYYYY??

Then I was truly tempted to buy this bag for my BFF Serene because she gave me a Melody bag last month and I thought of buying this for her!!! It’s big enough to put her “marketing” stuff.

Lastly, We are very glad to be invited to understand more about the Philatelic Store @ GPO and also take a picture beside this really cool and functional postbox which can STAMPED with special date stamp!!! I am gonna mail my giveaway and letters to my friend here. I am gonna travel all the way here so that they can receive this Date Stamp.

If you are having your wedding and you are gonna mail your cards, I think you should totally use this postbox lah!!!

Here are the lovely photos taken by the Photobooth.

I said, Christmas came early for me! Thanks for the biscuit! YAY I can Makan Biskut!!! I mean Christmas Cookies!!

I totally recommend you to visit the Philatelic Store @ GPO, the heart of SingPost, the General Post Office to find the great gift ideas for this upcoming Christmas.

It’s like a one-stop hub for the crazy “Stamp” fans because I think you definitely can find something you love. I particularly love the setting and ambience of the store now because it’s the Christmas Decoration and Season now and my favourite season it’s Christmas!
